چکیده

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become a health and social problem all over the world. Most of deaths occur from embolism thrombus formation. We aimed to compare predictive value anticoagulation risk factors in atrial fibrillation (ATRIA) m-CHA2DS2-Vasc scores in-hospital mortality COVID-19. METHODS: Three-hundred ninety-four patients who were hospitalized due COVID-19 between 10 June 2020 September included. sixty survived defined as non-mortality group remaining 34 whose hospitalizations resulted death group. The calculated. RESULTS: A total 394 patients, mean age 66.2±9.7 (221 male [56.1%]) included this retrospective study. median values different groups (p<0.000 for both). multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that both independent predictors (p=0.024, 95%CI 1.039–1.704 p=0.043, 1.012–2.088 m-CHA2DS2-Vasc). In receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, score was superior with an AUC 0.774 SE:0.037, p<0.001. CONCLUSIONS: our study, we can be used thrombosis patients. addition, higher than m-CHA2DS2-Vasc. use assess high-risk may recommended.

Cheating the CHA2DS2-VASc Score: Thromboembolism in Apical Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Atrial fibrillation increases the risk of systemic thromboembolism in general and stroke in particular. Not all patients who develop atrial fibrillation are at significantly heightened risk of thromboembolic complications, however, with the development of risk scoring systems aiding clinicians in determining whether formal anticoagulation is mandated. The most commonly used contemporary scoring...

The CHA2DS2‐VASc score as a predictor of high mortality in hospitalized heart failure patients

AIMS Atrial fibrillation (AF) is common in patients with heart failure (HF). CHA2 DS2 -VASc score was originally employed as a risk assessment tool for stroke in patients with AF; however, it has recently been used to predict not only stroke but also various cardiovascular diseases beyond the original AF field. We aimed to verify the CHA2 DS2 -VASc score as a risk assessment tool to predict mor...

Is CHA2DS2-VASc Score Different in Patients with Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation Suffering from Cerebral and Non-cerebral Thromboembolism?CHA2DS2-VASc Score in Thromboembolism.

Background Thromboembolic complication is directly related to CHA2DS2-VASc score in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). In this study we compared the CHA2DS2-VASc score and in-hospital mortality between NVAF patients with non-cerebral thromboembolism and those with stroke. Methods We retrospectively reviewed medical records of 213 patients with NVAF who experienced stroke a...

Risk Stratification Using the CHA2DS2‐VASc Score in Takotsubo Syndrome: Data From the Takotsubo Italian Network

BACKGROUND The CHA2DS2-VASc score predicts stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation and has been reported to have a prognostic role even in acute coronary syndrome patients. The Takotsubo syndrome is a condition that mimics acute coronary syndrome and may present several complications including stroke. We sought to assess the ability of CHA2DS2-VASc score to predict adverse events in Takotsu...
